Spiral Table with Glass Top Benchmade by Hawaiian Furniture Maker Rock Cross

This is a gently used spiral table with inset glass top by Hawaiian artists and furniture maker, Rock Cross.  Rock is a Roscoe Award winner for contemporary furniture design.  He uses classical woodworking techniques to create organically modern forms.  The soft lines, sensuous curves and sense of movement are accomplished through a technique using laminated hardwood veneers.  Similar techniques can be seen in chairs designed and built by Thomas Chippendale, Frank Lloyd Wright, Marcel Breuer and Charles Eames. Rock hand sculpts each design revealing sinuous patterns of form and color. Finally the object is completed with more than ten coatings of protective finish. 

This table retails for roughly $9,700 (and that's prior to shipping cost to get it to the mainland).

This piece was made to order for the original owner.  This table is signed by the artist.  This is truly a piece of art as furniture.

The table was very gently used. There are minor scratches on the bottom of the base, and a minor indentation on one side of the table, otherwise it is in very good condition.
