Round Mid-Century Pedestal Dining Table with Lacquered Rice Paper Finish IMO Karl Springer

A stunning and unique round midcentury dining table that sits on a pedestal.  This table is  finished in a lacquered rice paper (according to the original owners) that almost has the appearance of marble or stone.  It is a one of a kind type of piece.  

It was purchased by the original owner's Interior Designer at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.  They remember shopping at the Karl Springer Showroom but this table has no labels and we were not able to authenticate it.  Despite a lack of authentication, this is an exceptionally well made piece of furniture that was cared for by its previous owner.  It is in exceptional condition.  

There is a brushed chrome band at the base of the table.  We have the 4 chairs that were originally purchased with the table, available in a separate listing.  They are truly the perfect complement to the table (and extraordinarily comfortable).
