Original Maritime Oil Painting by Erzsi Ferenczy (1904-2000)

Lovely and colorful painting featuring a sailboat (fishing boat) with a single figure aboard, navigating a body of water.  It is impressionistic in style with thick, visible brushstrokes.  The colors are muted; blues and greens dominating the water and sky and warmer tones for the boat and figure. The artist, E. Ferenczy is listed.  She was the wife of Béni Ferenczy also a painter from a famous Hungarian family that included painters, sculptor and textile artists. 

This painting is framed and sits behind glass.  The frame must have been screwed to a wall originally because there are several holes in the frame (see close up images).  There is some craquelure to the painted surface.
