Lovely midcentury dinner service designed by Raymond Loewy for Rosenthal (Germany).  This fine set of "Gala Blue" porcelain that has a lovely iridescent blue band that is outlined by gold (gilded) bands.  

Raymond Loewy was the chief designer for Rosenthal for a number of years.  His influence, post-war, was a more streamlined, elegant and timeless.  His designs look as modern today as they did back in the 1960s.

This exceptional 63 piece set includes; 11 dinner plates, 11 bread plates, 11 salad plates, 11 saucers, 9 coffee/tea cups, 8 bowls and one sugar bowl with lid.  This set was gently used.  Although released in 1969, this set looks incredibly modern and timeless today.  It would be a lovely wedding gift.
