This is a lovely large limited edition framed lithograph by French artist, Philippe Henri Noyer in his signature surrealist/modernist style.  It is titled "White Rolls Royce" and features 2 female figures, a leopard, a cockatoo and a white Rolls Royce with a driver.  There are vibrant green  palms, bamboo and a safari hat that lends a tropical feel to this piece.

This would feel right at home in Palm Beach or any tropical destination.  This was signed and numbered by the artist in pencil, PL Noyer 45/150.  It is framed in a gilded faux bamboo frame with white highlights (there is a scratch to the frame - see close up images).

This was in the personal collection of a Chicago area couple that had been friends of the artist and his wife.

Philippe Henri Noyer was born on June 28, 1917 in Lyon, France. After a traditional education at the elite Ecole des Roches, Noyer enrolled in the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Lyon. He eventually moved to Paris, where he discovered his talent for oil painting, officially starting his painting career in 1943.  In the years that followed, Noyer was commissioned to paint portraits of many celebrities including Elizabeth Taylor, Dinah Shore, and Jean Wallace. In the sixties, Noyer put aside portraiture in favor of painting delicately stylized, sophisticated, slim, long-limbed ladies who were his favorite subject. This lithograph is a fine example of that style.   His compositions were the fruits of his fantasy.
