The Rooted Bronze Lamp was inspired by the strong women in Eoin’s life. They are the foundation for much of his work. Eoin was raised by a single mother who struggled to make ends meet but always supported his dreams. She provided him with a strong foundation for life. Today his beautiful wife and two daughters continue to inspire him. They fuel his creativity, push him outside of his comfort zone and remind him to enjoy life.
Rooted is about standing tall, being proud, stretching beyond your limits.
Although they look similar, the two lamps featured are actually unique solid bronze sculptures and they being made to order and created in a limited edition of 25. Eoin Cullen is a Chicago based sculptor and artist that was born and raised in Ireland. He studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His work has been shown at several galleries and he had done commissions for public spaces. He graciously agreed to create some unique sculpture form table lamps as limited edition, made by hand, pieces for Studio Sonja Milan. The photos of these lamps simply doesn't do them justice. They are art as lighting.
