Micheal Taylor for Baker Buffet from the Far East Collection

A stunning three part buffet (sideboard) by Michael Taylor for Baker Furniture.  This piece was from the Far East Collection. It features 2 lower cabinets and one long top that locks in place to connect the 2 cabinets (makes this piece easy to move and assemble).  

One cabinet has a drawer that pulls out with silverware dividers and 2 additional drawers. The second cabinet has 2 adjustable shelves. This timeless piece is Asian inspired with a very contemporary twist.  

Michael Taylor was one of the most sought after Interior Designers of his time.  He's credited with the creation of the "California Looks".  The pieces he designed for Baker in the 50's and 60's remain sought after today.

This is a vintage piece.  There is some damage to a connector that allows the top to side onto the buffets.  It doesn't impact the structure - nor can in be seen but one connector was damaged at some point.  There are some light scratches and color variation to the wood (see close up images).  The nickel hardware is lovely.
